Thanks Mike. There is plenty of Country Music in Brazil (Sertaneja) but little in the way of true Bluegrass. There is a small town in the state of Sao Paulo that has some Bluegrass with U.S. roots. The town of Americana was established for former Confederates that did not want to pledge allegiance to the U.S. after our Civil War. The then government in Brazil offered land and a new start in exchange for newer farming techniques. So the Stars & Bars still fly in Americana and even though most Confederates eventually made good and returned to Dixie, a few remained along with a heritage that remains until this day!

That is an interesting history. Glad to hear there are folks for you to play with down there!
